Sathyam Movie Review

Since today morning from sun tv to star vijay all the channels repeated the same stroy. vishal vishal and only vishal. he is also tiered less . anwering to all the important queries.. like why nayanthara joined in a special trimming course, why did he shaved his head??

so finally got tempeted , booked for a show in PVR cinemas in bangalore with my friend..

***************

kannada matinee star upendra has played important role in this movie..when his name is displayed in the screen i can see hear lot of whistles as well as claps

Viahal is played a cop role.. worked hard to show the variations in his body.. six packets + good muscles.. he appears in almost all the shots of the movie.. either kicking some one or speaking some boring dialogues....oh its over dose man.

so many shots has taken with extreme efforts..camera work is excellent.. but all went in to vain..if we watch the movie shots as 4 or 5 minutes clips in you tube.. it would be good.

story line is simple.. a cop affected because of politicians takes revenge of them , and doing his best duty.

upendra eliminates bad politicians vishal investigating the case..finally he is able to put upendra in jail..upendra makes challenge.. vishal responds for it..

yes outline of screen play is interesting.. but way of execution really sucks.

where is the scope of nayanthara, amma sentiment, kutthu dance, boosing of vishal image, flying in the air fight scens???

director has added all those and finally spoiled the entire picture..
this movie seems to be a remix of so many movies.

amma sentiment - remake of mannan
comedy scens - remake of movie indian
police scens - mixture of kakha kakha and vettaiyadu vilaiyadu

no one knows why nayanthara appears in the movie..

fight scens - over dose..
the music score by harris jeyaraj is not impressing.. he failed to make magic in his 25 the movie.

Editing is very bad..climax remembers movie citizen..

the entire team is failed in making a best movie with all the avilablle scopes..

only possitive thing about this movie is acting of upendra.. he is simply superb.. the conversation and his acting with vishal is reall
y superb..

final verdict.. waste of time

Kuselan gets a warm response

Rajnikant's latest offering Kuselan, which remained consistently mired in controversies, has finally hit the theatres amidst much glitz and fanfare

Tamil matinee icon Rajnikant's latest offering Kuselan, which remained consistently mired in controversies, has finally hit the theatres in true Rajnikant style amidst much fanfare and frenzy.

Here's the feedback on this week's biggest release Rajnikant starrer 'Kuselan'.

Though Tamil superstar Rajnikanth is not playing a full fledged role in the film but his fans cannot be less excited to catch their favourite superstar in action.

If one wants to see and enjoy a family drama with sentiment, clean comedy and neat portrayals, Kuselan is the only answer among all the recent releases. Kuselan, truly the most awaited movie of the year (2008), has been released amidst lot of expectations and fanfare. No doubt, the film is surely a different attempt by superstar Rajinikanth and Vasu.

First, both Rajnikanth and director P Vasu should be given kudos, for the honest remake of the meaningful Malayalam original 'Katha Parayumbol' (of course there are some cliches but those are tolerable!). The gist of the story is very simple but interesting.

Through this movie, it seems Rajnikanth wants to convey the importance of true friendship. 'Matha, Pitha, Guru, Nalla Nanban and finally God' is the new lineup that the megastar follows in real life too, and the message to convey the young generation to follow.

Balu alias Balakrishnan (Pasupathy) is a poor barber, who is living in a tiny village Marayur and struggling to manage his day to day life, with a beautiful wife (Meena) and three children. Balu is unable to buy some good basic equipment to develop his barber shop located in the local Market. But he is quite satisfied with what he has despite the antics of his competitor (cum one time assistant!) Vadivelu, who earns lot of money by forcing local people to visit his shop for cutting and shaving.

One day, the entire climate of the village totally changes just because of the arrival of superstar Ashok Kumar (Rajnikanth) for shooting his film. Everyone in the village go to see and take photographs with the star. But heavy police and Z category security force, prevents them to have a glimpse of the movie star.

Meanwhile, news spreads around the village that Balu and the superstar are close childhood friends. After knowing the fact, everyone in the village give new respect to Balu and his family. The local money lender comes forward to help him to develop his saloon with all brand new modern equipments to just get an introduction with the cinestar. Everyone in the village wants to cash in on their friendship.

But just because of his ego, Balu does not like to even pay a visit to the guest house, where the star resides. However the entire village, including his own family members force him to visit the star and renew their relationship. How do the old friends meet at last?

The question leads to the sensational, never ever seen climax of the film.

For years, many have doubts and questions about Rajinikanth's personal life, Himalayan trips, saint like lifestyle and political interests. In a face to face conversation between Rajni and a critic (Sundar Rajan), P Vasu exposes the other side of the superstar well. The way Rajinikanth replies to all the queries of Sundar Rajan is excellent, and it helps the star icon himself to satisfy a faction of people, who are always pinpointing at him.

No doubt, Rajnikanth is the real star of the entire show. From the second reel itself, the film rounds the doyen of South Indian cinema. Most of the scenes reflect Rajini's real life incidents and are not even exaggerated a bit. Performance-wise Rajni easily overtakes all the characters and particularly in the sensational climax, the viewers are surely to be left stunned with the outstanding, class performance of Rajinikanth.

Rajnikanth's appearance in the film is just for just 40 minutes. But audiences' feedback for the movie, is that it is a different but complete Rajni movie. This indeed shows the magical spell, that the superstar can still weave on his fans and all age-viewers alike!

Kuselan Movie Review and Rating - vijay ganesh

Kuselan Movie Review and Rating

Watch Rajinikanth in his latest flick Kuselan with a complete new face – the real one without any commercial compulsions!

For those who want to know the reason why Rajini has not entered politics? Why the superstar often frequents the Himalayas? And why he still prefers to work in run-of-the-mill stuff? Yes, you are right, Kuselan has got all the answers for it.

Kuselan is all about two childhood friends. One of them becomes a super star in the film industry while the other turns into a barber in a hamlet. Balakrishnan alias Bala (Pasupathy) is a poor barber in a village. He lives with his wife Sreedevi (Meena) and his children. This is when a film crew lands in their village to shoot for a movie. Balan learns that super star Ashok Kumar (Rajinikanth) has come for shooting in the village and also realizes it is none other than his childhood friend. Bala has a fear in meeting Ashok Kumar thinking that he may not identify him. But, when the two meet after a long gap, the emotional drama between the pals, sets up an emotional 20-minute climax.

The story line is not actually spun around Rajinikanth but he manages to leave his impression on the audience especially towards the climax when an emotional Rajinikanth identifies his friend recalling their good old innocent days. Portrayed excellently on the screen, these sequences bring tears to our eyes and also invoke the human side of each of us to the forefront.

Coming to Pasupathy’s performance, it’s a big task for an actor like him to work on the big screen alongside a person who dominates the audiences’ attention like Rajinikanth. Pasupathy plays the role of a poor barber who fights for his survival.
Meena, Tamil cinema’s numero uno actress of the 90s, plays the role of a typical Indian wife to Pasupathy understanding the emotional struggles of her husband and gives him the much needed solace and comfort.
Nayantara simply sizzles effortlessly, proving why she is the lead actress of the times. Unlike Chandramukhi, she fulfills the glamour quotient well in this movie. Vadivelu’s comedy compliments the script well especially the scene when he plays a trick to get an audition with Rajinikanth makes the audience rock with laughter.

The Superstar effect has taken over and it is coming to hit you.
Be prepared for sumptuous Rajini treat! And be ready with your hand kerchief for the last half an hour.

On Friday morning Mr Niranjan arranged a special screening of 'Kuselan' at the Arjun Arts Studio near 18th cross Malleswaram.

As expected the crowd for the 4.30 pm show of 'Kuselan' was not all that good because of the eclipse. The movie is expected to do very well in Karnataka as well.

Kuselan Review

This is one of excellent movie from the super star rajinikanth. i don't want to compare this movie with one garbage Dasathavatharam. few negative comments were spread by stomach ache Mask man kamal fan's... and some useless tamil fanatics groups.

leave all those behind ...........

First of all we have to congratulate super star rajinikanth for selecting this kind of script and n number of kudos for his excellent performance of the acting in the screen too rajini always termed as a masala hero but he himself marched forward and proved himself as a one of the best acter in the world and gave good answer of the guys depends always on the masks.

Again first day first show.. sorry for my late review.. struck up with personal work. story line is very simple... a tale of friendship between a super star and ordinary poor barber. the way of execution of the movie is mainly targeted towards family audience.

P Vasu tried his level best show one more Chandramuki magic..
Rajini appears in the movie for around 50 minutes , but director tried his level best to show case the super star's image through entire strecth of the movie.. this is not super star's action movie but it can termed as the one of the master piece of rajinikanth. no action sequence, no punch dialogue...this is a pasupathy's movie , yeah well talented actor well utilized his opportunity .

this is not a rajini movie, dont go with any expectations. First half of the movie passes well Vadivelu, santhanam, livingston & co , when the rajini appears in the village movie takes jet speed..... finally the last half an hour waugh what a story line and screen play.

excellent acting from super star. i can't control the tears of my eyes during climax..
yeah festival is already started today and tomorrow i would be busy with my friends watching the super star movie. this movie tells about the real value of friendship.

.
yes watching with friends and family would give a better thoughts about the relations, where the success of the movie is turns behind.
